Genetic Improvement in Juglans mandshurica and Its Uses in China: Current Status and Future Prospects

Juglans mandshurica is an economically and ecologically valuable species that used for various construction purposes, making luxurious furniture, as food sources of medicinal substances landscaping because its excellent wood, edible fruits rich in types chemical compounds. In the past few decades, several genetic improvements J. were made, with a focus on selection improved varieties breeding technology. Many elite provenances families selected based growth traits or wood properties. recent years, increasing demand high-quality seedlings Chinese forestry production, goals improvement redefined to include other traits, such fruit yield contents component.
